Thirdwayv Advisory Board Members Participate in AAMI Roundtable Webinar Event on Connected Digital Healthcare

Dr. David Klonoff and Aimon Abdel-Malek, PhD, Discuss What Diabetes Management Can Teach about the Digital Future

Irvine, Calif., March 14, 2022 – Thirdwayv, a leading provider of end-to-end connectivity and security solutions for IoT applications, today announced that two of its Advisory Board members, Dr. Aiman Abdel-Malek and Dr. David Klonoff, will participate in a webinar this week on the successful adoption of connected care technologies for managing diabetes.

Hosted by the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI), the webinar will examine Bluetooth-connected smartphones, insulin pumps and connected Continuous Glucose Monitors (CGMs) that are among the most advanced examples of how digital technologies are improving patient care. Dr. Klonoff and Dr. Abdel-Malek will join three other expert panelists for the complementary webinar, which is the first in a six-part series on “Connected Care: Digital Health, Wearables & Connectivity.”  

            Dr. Klonoff is an endocrinologist and founder of the Diabetes Technology Society. He was the principal investigator in more than 100 clinical trials of diabetes drugs and devices and has received repeated recognition for his work with the FDA, American Institute of Medical and Biological Engineering and other such agencies. Dr. Abdel-Malek is a medical device and digital health industry veteran and executive chairman of the Thirdwayv Advisory Board. He has more than 20 years of experience leading healthcare business teams at companies including Insulet Corporation, Qualcomm Life, Inc., and GE Healthcare.
